Alabama APSE (AL-APSE) 2013 Conference & Training Event


The AL-APSE/ACDD Conference was intended to disseminate a wide variety of information to professionals as well as individuals with disabilities

At the end of this program, participants developed skills, including: (a) identifying employer concerns and how to resolve those concerns when hiring a person with a disability; (b)  identifying quality supported employment services, natural supports, and common marketing strategies to overcome barriers to employment for people with the most significant disabilities; (c)  recognizing the unique challenges people with disabilities have when seeking employment and identifying steps to become employed in a competitive job market; and (d) identifying low-cost assistive technology solutions to help individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings.
