“The Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program in New Hampshire has been serving eligible individuals since the early 1940’s so they might realize their employment goals. Our agency has been undergoing financial challenges that require us to make substantive changes to our program. In early May the agency will hold several important meetings to provide information on what these changes are and how the agency will be serving individuals with disabilities moving forward.
The first critical public meeting is on Tuesday, May 1st, where we will have an in-depth discussion with our State Rehabilitation Council. This purely volunteer, Governor-appointed Council is the oversight body and support network that works closely with VR on the success of the program and partners with us in times like this, where we must make changes to obtain financial stability. It is my hope after they review all relevant information they support the agency entering an order of selection...”
